Hiking Trails in Løkken – Explore Fascinating Nature and Local History on Your Own
Løkken offers four scenic and varied Kløverstier (Clover Routes), giving you the opportunity to explore the area on foot – whether you’re in the mood for a short walk through town or a longer hike in nature. Each route has its own theme and takes you past points of interest, historical landmarks, and beautiful landscapes. Below you’ll find more information about the four routes:
The green route (2.7 km) takes you through the historic town centre of Løkken. Along the way, you’ll pass several historic sites and enjoy lovely viewpoints. This route is easy to access and ideal for a short walk through the town’s charming streets.

The blue route (5 km) leads you north to Furreby. On the way, you’ll pass fishing boats on the beach, the Coastal Fishing Museum, German WWII bunkers, and other fascinating sights. This route offers both natural experiences and a glimpse into Løkken’s coastal history.

The red route (7.2 km) heads south to Nybæk Plantage. We recommend starting the tour directly from the campsite and enjoying a peaceful walk through the scenic plantation area.

The black route (11 km) takes you along the beach and up the cliffs to Nr. Lyngby in the north. The outward journey follows the shoreline, while the return takes you along the cliff path and through the northern part of Løkken.

Nybæk Plantation
Nybæk Plantation is a flat and beautiful landscape, typical of the coastal dune areas of West Jutland. Trails here lead you through open spaces, forest, moorland, and past small lakes. A walk through the plantation is well worth it – you can also enjoy a packed lunch in the area or take your dog for a walk in the designated dog forest. There are plenty of opportunities to explore.
There is also a route with an interactive quiz available on your phone. You can find the link at findveji.dk. The route includes 9 stations, each with a question to answer. The trail is suitable for prams and people with limited mobility.
Cycling routes in and around Løkken
The tourist office in Løkken has created a selection of suggested cycling routes in and around the area. These tours take you past some of the region’s most impressive viewpoints and through charming small villages. The routes vary in difficulty and are not marked with official signs.
