At Løkken Klit Camping and Hytteby, we are conscious of our environmental footprint and are continuously working to reduce our resource consumption.
That’s why we have been certified as a Green Stay campsite.
Green Stay is based on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. A campsite that receives this certification actively contributes to achieving these goals.
As part of the certification process, Camping Outdoor Denmark has identified the key goals where campsites can make the most meaningful contribution. These goals were selected in collaboration with the camping industry and are based on the skills and resources available to campsites.
Løkken Klit Camping focuses primarily on the following goals:
UN Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation: At Løkken Klit Camping, we are committed to ensuring clean water and proper sanitary conditions. We have implemented sustainable water treatment methods and efficient waste management to protect the environment and offer our guests a pleasant stay.
UN Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy: We are proud to have installed solar panels on our campsite to generate electricity. By harnessing the power of the sun, we reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and lower our carbon footprint. We strive to be a green energy provider and inspire our guests to choose sustainable energy sources.
UN Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production: We promote responsible use of resources by encouraging our guests to reuse, reduce waste, and sort waste correctly. We also work closely with local producers and suppliers to support sustainable and locally made products.
UN Goal 13: Climate Action: At Løkken Klit Camping, we are committed to minimising our impact on the climate. In addition to our solar energy system, we implement energy-efficient measures and encourage our guests to take part in our efforts to combat climate change. We aim to be a role model for green practices in the camping industry.
UN Goal 15: Life on Land: We are aware of our unique location close to the beach and dunes, and we are dedicated to preserving and protecting this natural heritage. We prioritise planting and are working to create a dedicated area that promotes biodiversity and serves as a habitat for local plant and animal species. We invite our guests to respect and appreciate the natural environment.
